Jasper Høiby grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 2005, he has performed on 14 albums and toured throughout the UK and Europe with a number of original projects such as Arthurs/Høiby/Ritchie, Julia Biel, Mark Lockheart, Ivo Neame Quartet, the Sam Crowe Group and Jim Hart's Gemini. He has released three albums under his own name with his group Phronesis, receiving ‘Jazz Album of the Year’ in Jazzwise and Mojo magazines for his 2010 album Alive. As a member of Kairos 4tet Jasper brings his many fine qualities to the table, as Adam himself says,
“he’s a pretty complete bassist with an incredible sound who can play the hell out of a groove, and he’s also played a lot of free music. Whatever he’s playing he’s always listening.”
